WOLF TAUSENDFREUND HONOURED FOR DEDICATION, SERVICE TO CITY

INQUINTE: JUNE 15, 2022

Wolf Tausendfreund was honoured with a special plaque dedication in the Commons Area on Front Street. Mayor Mitch Panciuk declared June 15, Wolf Tausendfreund Day in the City and dedicated the community space to him in honour of his service to the community. It will serve as a fitting midway point between City Hall and the Quinte Consolidated Courthouse in recognition of Tausendfreund's prominent careers.

As a private citizen, Tausendfreund served as President of the YMCA, Rotary Club of Belleville and the Sales and Ad Club. He was also a member of the YMCA National Board and was later appointed by the Governor General as an Officer of the YMCA Fellowship of Honour. He coached swimming in the city and is one of the founding members of the Belleville Bulldogs Rugby Club.
